Some prominent Ministers of God, on Sunday, 30 August, joined hands together, to pray for Femi Fani-Kayode, after the Lagos state Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) told him he would become Nigeria's President some day. In a video that went viral, Femi kneltknelt down own after the pronouncement.  He was there-after, surrounded by church elders who prayed for him. He was a guest at Bishop Isaac Idahosa's celebration of 31 years in ministry in Lagos, where several other Pastors were present. FFK received, with faith, the prophecy that he would one day rule Nigeria if he remains humble.

Soyinka Cautions Buhari's Administration Against Water Resources Bill

Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has condemned the re-introduction of the Bill on National Water Resources 2020 to the National Assembly. In a statement issued yesterday, Soyinka warned that the bill, if passed into law, would hand the president "absolute control over the nation's entire water resources, both over and underground." "A roundly condemned project, blasted out of sight by public outrage one or two years ago, is being exhumed and sneaked back into service by none other than a failed government, and with the consent of a body of people, supposedly elected to serve as custodians of the rights, freedoms and existential exigencies of millions," Soyinka said in the statement titled MLK's Mighty Stream of Righteosuness,' in reference to the late Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech. The the bill, which failed to get a concurrent passage by both Houses in the Eighth Assembly, has passed second reading in the House of Represent

CAMA 2020 and Bishop Oyedepo

Image
I saw a video where Bishop Oyedepo of Winners Chapel and some pastors were telling their congregations that the Registrar General of the #Corporate_Affairs_Commission has been empowered to unilaterally remove Trustees of a church without recourse to the court and that such removal shall be final. I think the Bishop misinterpreted the Act. I dont know if the Bishop was referring to any other Law apart from the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020.  Some pastors have also asked their members to fast and pray for the death of the Registrar General. Section 839 of CAMA 2020 provides; The Commission may by order suspend the trustees of an association and appoint an interim manager or managers to manage the affairs of an association where it reasonably believes that — (a) there is or has been any misconduct or mismanagement in the administration of the association; (b) it is necessary or desirable for the purpose of — (i) protecting the property of the association, (ii) secu

Trump's Sister Bashes Callous Ivanka Over Separated Migrant Children In New Recordings

New audio recordings reveal  Donald Trump's sister criticizing Ivanka Trump after the president ordered that migrant children be separated from their families at the border. Maryanne Trump Barry  also calls the president’s second son, Eric, “the moron” in the recording released to MSNBC by Mary L. Trump, the niece of Barry and President Trump.Barry said she couldn’t fault comedian Samantha Bee   for her stinging attack on the first daughter as “oblivious” — and worse  — after Ivanka, who is also a White House adviser, posted a photo on Instagram in May 2018 of her hugging one of her kids while migrant families were suffering in detention facilities. “When that damn Ivanka puts this picture of the ‘Madonna and Child’ on Instagram when the big news of the day was how children are getting ripped away from their parents. ... I’d never heard of Samantha Bee, but I couldn’t blame what she said,” Barry said in the recording. “Eric’s become the moron, publicly,” she added, while Ivanka is
