A Typical Nigerian Politician

An average Nigerian politician will say one thing in the morning, say another thing in the afternoon and deny both in the evening. There are very few exceptions to this.

If a former NBA president becomes a governour like we have in Ondo today, one will ordinarily expect rule of law to be enshrined in the dealings of such a chief executive.

The political happenings in Ondo State few days prior to the APC primaries is a shame. People who are clamouring for Direct Primary are doing so because they are not the incumbent. The governour who has suddenly fell in love with Indirect Primary had a different opinion four years ago.

Most of the godfathers in our politics today were the ones that brought down the godfathers of yesterday because they succeeded in deceiving other fellow followers then, into gunning for a phantom freedom.

A godson today who sees nothing wrong in the godfather using his money and influence to impose him will turn around tomorrow to question godfatherism with the same dirty mouth with which he hailed the godfather.

Honour is what is lacking in our politics
