This was sent to me by Chief Duro Onabule, a Veteran Journalist. I don't agree with all the author's points, but I want to share it with you. It is worth thinking about.  I saw a video clip of a group of young Yoruba elites canvassing the creation of Oduduwa Republic. The spokesman claimed that they are not even interested in restructuring, that it is late in the day, but the outright creation of Oduduwa Republic. Carrying placards, they insist they are fed up with Nigeria and that Nigeria has been a setback for the Yoruba's because in 1949 when Yorubas had the television, even when France has not have one. Also, that Yorubas were ahead of Korea in the 1950's, but today, we have been derailed by the Nigeria project. These are their main arguments, which, as I will soon show, are no arguments at all. I write to you leaders of Yorubas to warn you to be careful; be extremely careful so that you don't make some fatal errors that will set Yorubas even further aback. Time

In a statement on its Monthly Financial and Operations Reports for July 2020, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Dr. Kennie Obateru, stated that significant increase in its bottom line was largely due to the 178 per cent rise in the surplus posted by the NNPC’s upstream subsidiary, the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC. Obateru explained that NPDC’s impressive result was bolstered by the continuous improvement in global crude oil demand for the third consecutive month.  He added that the NNPC’s financials was further impacted by the 739 per cent increase in the profit of Integrated Data Services Limited, IDSL, and a 51 per cent growth in performance by Duke Oil Incorporated, both companies of NNPC.  According to

Life is a competition. Anything that is quantifiable can be used as a measure of success, from how much sleep one gets to what kind of car one drives. The Okun ethnic nationality in Kogi State has demanded relocation from the North -Central geopolitical zone to the South -West. They also wanted a separate state which would be made up of the Okun people and the core Yoruba speaking part of Kwara State . Their demand was contained in the memorandum sent to the Senate Committee on the review of the 1999 constitution , under the aegis of Okun Development Association. The memorandum, signed by Ambassador Babatunde Fadumiyo, on behalf of the President of ODA, expressed support for the restructuring of Nigeria to bring about a truly federal republic. The document noted that there should be a boundary adjustment that would bring together , ethnic groups separated from their kit and kin . By Demola Olarewaju I wasn't  going to say much about the person and passing of the former President Shehu Shagari beyond the perfunctory but yesterday I read a thread from someone I respect somewhat. First I think it’s important to say (as I’ve said before) that I understand this generation is coming into alternate historical knowledge and it feels compelled to denigrate past personalities upon discovery of their flaws - which mainstream History sometimes covers up. For me, that epiphany came in the past especially with past Yoruba Leaders whom many in my family adored and I grew up adoring too. But I had a mind that explored and I went in search of history as written by the people those Leaders disliked and I saw the flaws they’d hidden. The advantage the progressive camp in Nigeria has always had - especially in the SW axis - is that they always documented their experiences and those documents became mainstream. So if they disliked/hated someone, the records bore them witness be
